Position Analysis on Wennberg

                                          Analysis on Wennberg
I surmise Wennberg  position is, euthanasia is morally right and he agrees the legalization of euthanasia. I will use expert’s opinion, quantitative data and language he uses, for evidence to demonstrate my surmise.
Firstly, Wennberg used several expert’s opinions and most of quotes are supporting euthanasia. For example, in first chapter, he used Seneca and Leslie Weatherhead’s opinion and both of them agree to euthanasia. Another example is, in chapter two, there are two expert’s quote which are Leonard Colebrook, and Guido Moricca and those showed how cancer patients are suffering from disease. These quotes dispose readers to think euthanasia is necessary for . Quotes he used in his paper are almost all support euthanasia is good way to end life. Expert’s opinions, he used in his text, are give us positive image of euthanasia.
Secondly, Wennberg used quantitative data which is public opinion poll. Roper poll, California poll, and general social survey by the National Opinion Research Center’s survey findings are about sixty percent of people agree to euthanasia. He use three of polls to show  euthanasia is majority idea. In addition, he also shows christian’s poll based on church attendance and religiosity. He writes, generally, christians against euthanasia because of the Sixth Commandment. But Christian’s poll it not seem like that because more than half of people who attend to Church and who has religiosity, answered “yes”. Therefore the polls he used showed almost public think euthanasia is not bad even Christian. All he used polls support euthanasia.
Finally, Wennberg say “the Christian community should at least seriously consider euthanasia as a legal and moral possibility” and language he used become evidence. He writes Christians generally against euthanasia because of the Sixth Commandment. If he against to the euthanasia he would write the good aspect of Sixth Commandment to dispose the readers to feel euthanasia is wrong. But he says Christian community should think about euthanasia. This state showed his position of euthanasia, which is positive, and he has assumption that euthanasia is important.
Considering all of the above factors, I think Wennberg’s position about euthanasia is positive. He used expert’s opinion and quantitative data in his text and almost all of expert’s opinion support euthanasia and give positive image of euthanasia. Quantitative datas are show how euthanasia is general idea in society. Also he has a assumption that euthanasia is important because he says Christian community should think about euthanasia. Therefore I think he thinks euthanasia is morally right and agrees to the legalization of euthanasia.

Million Dollar Baby

Winter Vacation
In the winter vacation, I watched movie called "Million Dollar Baby" for assignment. This movie is about the story of one amateur woman boxer and one trainer. A boxer was trained by him and she became unbeatable boxer who never lost. She became famous and she tried to the tittle match. Unfortunately, she became general paralysis and because of champion's foul act. She can not move her arms, legs, body. And also she can not breath by own. She determined to die and she pleased to a trainer to kill her. Finally trainer decided to kill her.
I think this movie is very ethical because trainer had conflict in his mind when he heard "kill me" from boxer.
 I really enjoyed it.
